Somesh Kumar (Chief Secretary) said,” We are in full control of the COVID-19 situation. Telangana State govt strongly believed that there was a need to consider the livelihood of people before deciding to impose lockdowns.
The Telangana High Court has asked the state govt to consider the weekend lockdown in the state as the number of coronavirus cases was going up, the government is of the view that there’s no need for a lockdown since the pandemic is in restraint.
However, the Chief Secretary state that the Telangana govt would consider the suggestion of the High court. he also states that the government is trying to convert every bed in the state into oxygen beds. COVID cases are decreasing in the state and the positivity rate is also coming down”.
